Room Parent Responsibilities Throughout the Year:

Raffle Basket/Item(s)
Choose a theme for your classes offering – a sign up form with be sent soon
Gather donations – either money or use something like an Amazon Wishlist for parents to shop from
Completed raffle prizes will be dropped off at the school – wait for more communication on this o Volunteers for Room Game
Room parents are not responsible for coming up with a game for this class, but they are in charge of staffing it throughout the evening with volunteers
There may also be high school students who will help fill volunteer spots
Parties

Budget - $40 – submit receipts to PTO promptly for reimbursement
No Christmas themes – plan for snowmen, winter, etc.
Party will begin at 2 – AM Kindergarten party will begin at 10
Party will be a total of 1 hour
Room parents should plan to read a book, create a craft, play some games
This party is a great opportunity to present your Holiday/Christmas gift to the teacher
**Note – this is a nice time to snap a class photo!

ADDITIONAL OPTIONAL GIFTS – birthday, baby, wedding, etc.
Room parents are responsible for organizing the collection of money or items for gifts and arranging a time to present these gifts to the teacher
Do not suggest an amount – leave this to the family’s discretion. Each family’s budget is different! Some families won’t donate.
